My approach.
Since 2007, I've been helping my patients optimize their hormones, detoxify their systems, elevate their nutrition, heal their digestion, enhance their wellness, and feel like themselves again.
My goal is to restore health to the individual through evidence-based treatments and lifestyle shifts, allowing them to experience optimal wellness and empowering them to feel in control of their health without feeling overwhelmed.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all healthcare. My whole-person approach takes into account your unique health story — biological, genetic, emotional, and environmental — so that your treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs and goals, and can help you maintain optimal wellness over your lifetime.
My story.
I understand the stress and uncertainty that comes with health challenges — and the frustrations that arise when your healthcare practitioner can't offer you any real answers.
As a child, I dealt with chronic illness, asthma, and allergies, and experienced frequent hospitalizations. Over the years, I saw many different specialists who told me that I would be using an inhaler for the rest of my life.
Stabilizing my health became my life's mission, as I no longer wanted to spend every winter in the hospital or avoid sitting in the grass for fear of going into anaphylactic shock. I began to learn more about my body, my symptoms, and the natural methods that could help me begin to feel better — and to take back control of my health. My interest in natural medicine grew stronger after I suffered a sports injury and was given a prescription for painkillers, but no real guidance as to how to heal my body. It was through working with naturopathic doctors that I learned how to help my body heal and manage my pain. I knew then that I had found my true calling, and that I would devote my life to helping others restore the healthiest versions of themselves through an integrative medicine approach that empowers them to take a leading role in their own health journey.
My education & training.
I received my degree in Naturopathic Medicine from North America's most esteemed naturopathic medical school, Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
I have a Fellowship for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the University of South Florida's medical school.
I am a Certified Menopause Society Practitioner.
I am always learning and and updating patient care as science and our knowledge and understanding evolves.
